Welcome...
Our Meet the Teacher Night will take place on Thursday, August 22, 2019. This will be a great time to strengthen our Spartan community, meet teachers and other families, and learn about the upcoming school year. We’ll begin the evenings with a picnic (food trucks will be on site), we’ll transition into a brief informational meeting in the gymnasium, and from there students and parents will have the opportunity to visit with teachers at each grade-level. Our school goal is to see 80% of our families at these events.
We will be following similar Meet the Teacher Night procedures as the previous two years. Please adhere to the following schedule: Thursday, August 22nd Sixth Grade will meet at 5:00 PM.

Week of May 6th...
This week our students will utilize the CDTs for Math. The CDTs are based on content assessed by the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA). Although not a predictor for PSSA performance, CDTs provide a snapshot on why and how students may still be struggling or exceeding grade and/or course Eligible Content. The CDT data, along with other data, informs instruction in a timely and efficient manner.

Boosterthon
Our class is having a blast preparing for the North Schuylkill Fun Run coming up soon! We've also begun to learn how to solve problems using character through Boosterthon's character theme, MindSpark Mystery Lab. While they're teaming up with the MindSpark Kids to solve mysteries, your child will learn five 21st-century character traits that will help strengthen themselves and our world. Make sure to ask your child what they've learned each day, and together you can watch the story unfold on funrun.com!
Remember, we need your help connecting to sponsors who can make a pledge to help our school! Please make sure all pledges for the North Schuylkill Fun Run are entered on funrun.com. The more pledges we get, the more incentives our class earns on our Pledge-O-Meter.
Thank you for your generosity and support of our school. If you have any questions, please let me know.
P.S. Make sure to register your child on funrun.com. Use our school registration code: 834546
