Ways to Practice…
Write these words: was not, she is, we will, I am.  Have your child write the contraction that stands for each pair of words.

Your child will be identifying author’s purpose for writing, such as to entertain or to inform.  Show your child the cover of a book.  Ask who wrote the story and why.

Take turns using these words orally in sentences: certainly, either, great, laugh, second, worst, you’re.

December 21st, has been designated as a Dress Down Day to support our furry friends of the S.P.C.A.   Students may participate by donating $1.00, OR a pet-friendly item, such as pet food, supplies or toys. Ugly sweaters may be worn with jeans or sweatpants. IF you choose not to participate, dress code appropriate clothing is required. NO EXCEPTIONS.
