Week of May 11...

Monday, May 11th is Day 4.  Our special will be Music.  Your child is learning words with the vowel patterns oo and u.  To practice, students will complete page 189. Have your child reread Decodable Reader 17 to develop automaticity decoding words with vowel patterns oo and u. Math, students need to complete 16-1.

Tuesday, May 12th is Day 5.  Our special will be Gym.  For Spelling, students will write words with the vowel patterns oo and u by completing page 305.  To provide additional fluency practice, students will read Life Cycle of a Pumpkin.  Math, students need to complete 16-2.

Wednesday, May 13th is Day 1.  Our special will be Art.  For Spelling, your child will identify misspelled words with the vowel patterns oo and u by completing page 310.  To provide additional fluency practice, students will read Life Cycle of a Pumpkin.  Math, students need to complete 16-3.

Thursday, May 14th is Day 2.  Our special will be Library.  Your child has been learning to spell words with the vowel patterns oo and u.  Students will complete page 190.  To provide additional fluency practice, students will read How do seeds know which was is UP? on pages 80-81.  Math, students need to complete 16-4.

Friday, May 15th is Day 3.  Our special will be Computers.  There is no homework tonight.

Week of May 4...

Monday, May 4th is Day 4.  Our special will be Music.  For Spelling, students will identify misspelled words that end with -le by completing page 298.  To provide additional fluency practice, students will read The Froggy Fable. Math, students need to complete 14-4.

Tuesday, May 5th is Day 5.  Our special will be Gym.  For Spelling, students will continue to spell words that end with -le by completing page 180.  To provide additional fluency practice, students will read The Froggy Fable.

Wednesday, May 6th is Day 1.  Our special will be Art.  There is no homework tonight.

Thursday, May 7th is Day 2.  Our special will be Library.  Math, students need to complete 15-1.

Friday, May 8th is Day 3.  Our special will be Computers.  There is no homework tonight.

Week of... April 27th

Monday, April 27th is Day 1.  Our special will be Art.  For Spelling, students will identify words in which the long i sound is spelled by completing page 172.  To provide additional fluency practice, students will read "The Pie Contest."  Math, students need to complete 14-2.

Tuesday, April 28th is a non-rotation day.  Due to PSSA testing, there is no special today.  For Spelling, students will write words that end in -er and -est to make comparisons by completing page 173.  To provide additional fluency practice, students will read "Maya Angelou."  Math, students need to complete 14-3.

Wednesday, April 29th is a non-rotation day.  Due to PSSA testing, there is no special today.  Math, students need to complete 14-4.

Thursday, April 30th is Day 2.  Our special will be Library.  Students will learn how to spell words ending in -le by completing page 179.  Students will read Decodable Reader 16 to develop automaticity decoding words with final syllable -le.

Friday, May 1st is Day 3.  Our special will be Computers.  There is no homework tonight.

Monday, April 20th is Day 4.  Our special will be Music.  There is no homework tonight.

Tuesday, April 21st is a non-rotation day.  Due to PSSA testing, there is no special today.  There is no homework tonight.

Wednesday, April 22nd is a non-rotation day.  Due to PSSA testing, there is no special today.  Students will need to review Vowel Patterns e, ee, ea, and y by completing page 169.  To provide additional fluency practice, students will need to read "Birds, Bugs, and Nuts" and "Busy Lizzy." 

Thursday, April 23rd is a non-rotation day.  Due to PSSA testing, there is no special today.  Students will need to review the long o vowel patterns o, oa, and ow by completing page 170.  To provide additional fluency practice, students will need to read "Every Picture Tells A Story."
